Learning English is great fun if you discover certain tricks or strategies. After studying English for several years, I’ve found that you can learn it anytime, anywhere for example, through social media platforms like YouTube. Personally, I really enjoy watching videos or vlogs on YouTube in English. Some YouTube channels I highly recommend are:
1. Volka English
Volka English is one of my favourite YouTubers. The content is ideal for beginners because, in my opinion, the channel is perfect as the learning approach feels ‘real’ and isn’t confusing.
He use the comprehensible input method, so we learn from clear contexts rather than just memorising. We can see the objects straight away, hear how they’re pronounced, and then imitate them naturally.
2. Miss honey
This is also one of my favourite YouTube channels, where he presents a ‘Slow English’ podcast; I’d highly recommend it, especially for beginners. What’s more, the way he delivers the material is slow but easy to understand.
3. Outdoor boy
Outdoor Boy isn’t actually a channel for learning English, but I watch his videos every day he goes camping and travels to Alaska. He’s a YouTuber from the US.
His content focuses on how to survive in the great outdoors, even in extremely harsh weather. So, I’m always learning new things or picking up new vocabulary from him. I believe that learning is fun if you start with what you enjoy most.
4. Grandtastic
This is also my favourite YouTube channel from Indonesia. He always shares his daily life as a student and his content explores the food available on campus. I think it’s great for learning English because he often uses English in his videos.
Actually, there are plenty more of my favourite channels for learning English, but the three channels above are the ones I watch most often every day.
